major difference being its pink flowers as compared

WILLOW
Dappled Willow (Salix 'Hakuru Nishiki'): Dappled
Willow emerges with variegated pink and white leaves
in early spring that eventually turns to green. Do not
plant in very hot exposures and prune in late winter

Dwarf Blue Arctic Willow (Salix purperea 'Nana'):
Blue Arctic Willow is a very fast growing shrub and
is often used as a hedge plant or screen. It is often
used in areas that have wet soil and is very cold hardy.

YEW
Yews are a group of shrubs that grow well in many areas
of Utah. They tolerate shade and take hedging very well.
Although yews will tolerate some sun, do not plant them
on south or very hot exposures.
Repandens Yew (Taxus baccata): Repandens Yew
is often used as a hedge or foundation plant. It cannot
be planted in colder areas of Utah, but it does fine
along the Wasatch front. Grow Repandens Yew in full

Emerald Spreader Yew (Taxus cuspidata 'Monloo'):
Emerald Spreader Yew has a similar growth habit to Repandens
Yew. The main difference in them being Emerald Spreader
has smaller needles and is more cold hardy. Plant in

Dark Green Spreader Yew (Taxus cuspidata 'Dark Green
Spreader'): This is a very popular yew and is often
used as a hedge or foundation plant. Do not plant in
hot areas of the landscape. (4'Hx5'W) Zone 4
Densiformis Yew (Taxus x media 'Densiformis'):
Densiformis Yew is very similar to Dark Green Spreader
in size and looks. It takes hedging very well. Do not

Hicks Yew (Taxus x media 'Hicksii'): Hicks Yew
has an upright growth habit and is often used as a focal
point in shady areas of the landscape. Do not plant

YUCCA
Gold Sword Yucca (Yucca filamentosa 'variegata'):
Gold Sword Yucca is often used in the landscape as a
focal point. It has yellow and green variegated leaves
and large spikes of white flowers in mid-summer. It
is very drought tolerant, prefers to be planted in full

Ivory Tower Yucca (Yucca filamentosa 'Adams Needle'):
Ivory tower Yucca is very similar to Gold Sword
Yucca but its leaves are straight green and is also
great for use in low water landscapes. Plant in full
